(This post is not about what you think.) :)
I have a question. Why is it that people tend to live their lives with the parameters of truth or dare? Meaning, why does there have to be a back and forth between honesty and action? Why are people so against being who they really are? Why are people only comfortable showing a little insight into themselves when they are "dared" to do so? Maybe they are afraid of what others will think of them. Maybe they are afraid of what they will think of themselves. I'm sure the reasons vary from person to person. But how about this... How about we dare ourselves to be true to ourselves. Think you could handle that?
There is an amazing feeling when you know that you truly have no regrets for your actions. Or better yet, that you have no regrets for not making an action that you might wish you did.
There is something so rare and refreshing about being around someone that you know will not hold back any punches from you. That person that would be brutally honest but out of the kindness of their heart. Honestly, I would like more friends like that sometimes. But all I can do is live my life to the fullest and let my ora help those same kinds of people gravitate towards me.
I'm not going to say that life is short, because for the most part it's very long. But I will say that you never know who will enter or exit your life at any day. And the biggest regrets are always not being true to someone that you no langer have access to. Just think about it.

"New Fam"
I used to think that friends lasted forever. But I learned quickly that it wasn't always true. I actually began to believe that there weren't any friendships that could last forever. In my life I have experienced all of the kinds of friends.
Those that are friends because you share a friend, but if that friend moves on so do they.
Those that are only friends because of who you are or what you can do.
Those that will smile in your face, but behind your back speak of you as the worst of worst.
Those who really are your friends but will only serve as a season in your life. Once they fill their purpose they are no longer needed or wanted.
But sometimes you find that friend that you know will always be a part of your life. That you know if worst came to worst they would stay by your side. Some people only encounter one of these people in their lives. Sometimes more. Sometimes none.
I was under the impression that I would have a few of those true friends in my life. But I wasn't too concerned with it.
But you see, sometimes people enter your life unexpectedly. You may not know they're coming. You may not know how long they'll be there. But sometimes those people do more for you than you could ever imagine. Sometimes they can show you a new light. And that's where my "New Fam" comes into the picture. There is something about these people that I can't get enough of. I've never known another group of people as large as us where I didn't have a dislike for anyone. I look forward to having not only a lasting friendship with these people, but I look forward to seeing all the ups and downs that our "family" will encounter.
I love you all!!!

Intro to a "King's Life"
So what truly makes us happy in life? That depends on what one holds highly.
Personally, family is what I hold the most high. Without my family I wouldn't be half of the person that I am today. My mother is the backbone of my life. She is my best friend, my confidante, my number one supporter, my mentor, my everything. My mother is the reason I was able to graduate from college at the age of 20. That's the kind of mother she is.
My brother is the future. He annoys me with the fact that he towers over me and he's my younger brother. But other than that he is the reason why I must live my life to the fullest and keep my head on straight. I have someone that looks up to what I do and will follow my lead. If I open the wrong door he might walk through it. I could never allow that.
Other than family... there are friends, music, money and love. Not necessarily in that order though.
I love my friends. My real friends. I love them all. I keep my circle of friends very small and very tight. But I wouldn't want to lose any of them for any reason.
Music is what drives me in so many ways. I spend about 75% of the typical day listening to music. When I'm in my car I'm listening to music. At work... listening to music. And when i get free time at home... you guessed it... listening to music. And when I'm not listening to music I spend a lot of my time creating music. Music is my life.
That leads me to my money. You see, I work in the music industry. So not only is music what I love, but it's what i get paid to love. And I love my job more than I ever thought I would. The people in my company are the best in the business. By far!
Now... last, but certainly not least, LOVE! I love love. I am a serious romantic. Falling in love is probably one of the best feelings in the world. I'm one of those people that loves to have that significant other to bounce things off of. It's nice to have that person that really knows you. That person that you can be yourself with at all times. And they love you for it. That's just how I feel.
Well, that is a small intro into the kind of things that I will be talking about in this blog. So feel free to come back whenever you want. I plan on posting new blogs as often as possible.
Live, love & learn!
