(This post is not about what you think.) :)
I have a question. Why is it that people tend to live their lives with the parameters of truth or dare? Meaning, why does there have to be a back and forth between honesty and action? Why are people so against being who they really are? Why are people only comfortable showing a little insight into themselves when they are "dared" to do so? Maybe they are afraid of what others will think of them. Maybe they are afraid of what they will think of themselves. I'm sure the reasons vary from person to person. But how about this... How about we dare ourselves to be true to ourselves. Think you could handle that?
There is an amazing feeling when you know that you truly have no regrets for your actions. Or better yet, that you have no regrets for not making an action that you might wish you did.
There is something so rare and refreshing about being around someone that you know will not hold back any punches from you. That person that would be brutally honest but out of the kindness of their heart. Honestly, I would like more friends like that sometimes. But all I can do is live my life to the fullest and let my ora help those same kinds of people gravitate towards me.
I'm not going to say that life is short, because for the most part it's very long. But I will say that you never know who will enter or exit your life at any day. And the biggest regrets are always not being true to someone that you no langer have access to. Just think about it.
Live, love & learn!
